Dr. Chad Bearden has been a part of his family’s practice since the very beginning. Although he and his wife lived in Pittsburgh when NOAH started, he flew into town monthly to help out as a part time veterinarian. In June of 2020, he officially became a full time Associate! Chad knew early on that he would follow in his dad’s footsteps and call Veterinary Medicine his career, as he always felt passionate about animal sciences and helping pets heal.
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Bearden grew up in Central Florida. He graduated from Florida State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and chemistry. In 2012 he graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. The following year he completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Red Bank Animal Hospital in New Jersey.
Dr. Bearden and his wife Tina, also a veterinarian, had spent the past 3 years residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They quickly fell in love with city-life in Pittsburgh and loved their time exploring and working in such a fantastic town.
While in Pittsburgh, Dr. Bearden worked with a Specialty Hospital concentrating on Emergency Medicine. His professional interests included soft tissue surgery, oncology, and clinical pathology. Dr. Bearden is a member in good standing with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), the Western Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (WPVMA), the Florida Veterinary Association (FVMA) and the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association (CFVMA).
Dr. Bearden and his family are thrilled to be back in his hometown near family and continuing to practice veterinary care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their two pet cat Lily and their two sons. Dr. Bearden’s personal interests include travelling, the outdoors, college football, wood working, and of course the LSU Tigers. He admits though, that they all now come second to his two boys!
