Be Kind To Animals Week 2018 – Teach Children Animal Compassion

Happy Wednesday! Thank you for following along with and sharing our animal kindness pledges so far this week. Today’s pledge for the American Human Society’s Be Kind to Animals Week focuses on teaching our children to have compassion for animals. From an early age, showing children how to have an empathetic and responsible attitude toward furry, feathered, and finned friends is a vital step in preventing cruelty to animals and extends into the lesson to respect and treat those who are different from them with kindness.

Taking your children with you to your pet’s vet check-ups, working together on fun crafts like making bird feeders, and even reading them animal friendly books are all small but effective ways that show children the importance of helping and caring for animals.

You can share today’s badge on our Facebook page to pledge to your Facebook friends that you will be committing to this act of kindness.
